Doctoral thesis defence – Maja Perčić

On July 11th, 2022 the project associate Maja Perčić successfully defended her doctoral thesis under the title „A procedure for improving the energy efficiency and environmental performance of short sea and inland waterway vessels”, under the supervision of Nikola Vladimir, PhD, Associate Professor. The Committee members appointed for thesis evaluation were Vedran Slapničar, PhD, Associate Professor, Goran Krajačić, PhD, Associate Professor, and Ailong Fan, PhD, Associate Professor at Wuhan University of Technology, China. Congratulations!!!

Annual award to young scientists and artists in 2021

Project collaborator Maja Perčić is one of the winners of the Annual award to young scientists and artists in 2021 granted by the Society of University Teachers, Scholars and Other Scientists in Zagreb. She is awarded for the paper: Techno-economic assessment of alternative marine fuels for inland shipping in Croatia.

On the ceremony to mark the Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, project collaborator Maja Perčić is assigned Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in 2020 to the doctoral programme Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering.

Participation at the the 2nd International Congress on Ship and Marine Technology “Green and Intelligent Maritime Industry” (GMO-SHIPMAR 2021)

Project collaborators Maja Perčić and Ivana Jovanović participated at the 2nd International Congress on Ship and Marine Technology “Green and Intelligent Maritime Industry” (GMO-SHIPMAR 2021), held on September 16-17, 2021, in Istanbul, Turkey. Maja Perčić participated with a paper entitled „ Environmental analysis of methanol as an alternative marine fuel”, while Ivana Jovanović participated with a paper “A study into the economic viability of autonomous shipping: A case study of a 9,400 TEU container vessel”.
